My legs were tired so I mostly spent the day resting.
I should also mention that there seems be a lot of germans at the hostel here. I sat with a german couple for dinner, named Lisa and Kris, who were travelling a similar route as me in B.C. and in the Rockies. Afterwards they were going to California and then Costa Rica. Lisa told me they had just finished school (she studied communications and Kris studied Environmental Engineering), and they had planned on doing this trip for 2 years. Lisa was pretty stoked to see whales and Kris was stoked to see bears. It was fun talking to them, not to mention they gave me some of their corn salad – yum. Which sort of made up for the fact that someone finished my spaghetti sauce in the fridge –it’s all good though.
It also kind of funny that I met this one german guy, but he was brown (like Indian/Pakistani). It’s funny when I tell people I’m from Ottawa, Ontario because they usually give me a blank stare. I think they were expecting me to say like Japan lol. It’s all good though.
