Day 2 (April 2nd) – Thunder Bay
I got up a bit early and headed out the door for the road. But before I left Sault Saint Marie, I wanted to take a few pics. The drive to Thunder Bay was long, like 700 km, but it was very scenic. The rolling hills and the brilliant blue of Lake Superior next to me on the drive there made it a fun one. I had stopped twice to take pictures, and I’ll have to take some more on my way back home in May. I also finished my audiobook River Marked, an entertaining story that you need to hear yourself to get the proper picture. After a long 8 and 30 hr drive, I made it to Thunder Bay. I checked in my hotel and headed to the waterfront near the hotel to take some pictures. As I was taking pictures a guy drinking alone came up to me and we made small talk for like 30 mins. Overall, he seemed like an OK guy, he had some problems (that was a bit obvious from drinking alone) which he described as girlfriend and alcohol problems. In the end we parted ways, and I went back to my hotel to rest for tomorrow’s drive to Winnipeg.
