Hey folks, welcome to my blog about my Alberta and B.C. road trip.
Although many others have done amazing trips around the world, this is going to be the first for me. I’ve always wanted to see the forests, mountains, rivers, and ocean of B.C. more than any other place in the world. In fact, I use to want to become a park ranger out there (hence all the environmental schooling). But now I will finally make that trip happen.
My trip will be as follows:
Banff (Canmore + Lake Louise) > Jasper > Kamloops > Whistler > Vancouver > Tolfino > Nanaimo > Victoria > Penticton (near Kelowna) > Fernie > back home
Things I will be doing on the trip?
The main focus of the trip will be playing with my photography. I love taking pictures of nature and people (as those of you know if you checked out my photographs on facebook). But between nature and people, taking pictures of people are the most thrilling experience such as when I went down to photograph the G-20 protests in Toronto.
Opening up a newspaper and looking at an image of a crowd of people in a chaotic situation inexplicably grabs my attention. No matter what person on earth, such an intense image can stir the imagination of an event in another world. Also, sometimes the photographs of nature can capture the same feeling. Therefore, I will try to tell the tale of my trip through the photos that I will take on this trip, giving less effort to write about it.
Other big things will be XC skiing in Canmore + Lake Louise, hiking, and biking all over the place.
